We’re starting to look at how design is broken down into phases and what methods are used to strengthen the final product. From The School of Design Carnegie Mellon University, a systematic approach is described to us by each of its phases. The process goes as define-> discover-> synthesize-> construct-> refine-> reflect. At each part in the framework a combination of research and creativity is used. At every part the designers learn something new and add on to what they have worked on so far.
Designing by following a guide like this can be more useful than others since it is so directed. It is an iterative way of doing things. Every step is multi-tiered that way you do not miss anything.
