Designing for Different Strategies


Last week, I was looking for some online courses at Coursera and I found an interesting course about Video Games. I enrolled in the class, and I was checking the materials (video lectures) to put them into my calender. As you can see in the picture below, the video lectures are nicely organized with the duration right next to them.

               The duration is important because it helps me to plan my days/weeks properly. However, as you can see, although the course is organized in lessons (e.g. Lesson 3: Emergent and Progressive Gameplay), it does not state the total duration for the lesson. As I try to put the lectures into my calender, it would be very helpful to state the duration for the whole lesson so that I can allocate enough time and it doesn’t push other things I have to do.
